The mission/purpose of the Pastoral Council includes the following:
To consult with and make recommendations to the pastor regarding issues and pending decisions that significantly affect how the Mission and Vision of the parish are carried out.
To develop, implement, assess and periodically update a Parish Strategic Plan that has its purpose implementation of the Mission and Vision of the parish.
To provide an open and honest forum of communication and dialogue regarding parish affairs among pastor, associate pastors, staff, and parishioner
The Pastoral Council meets the third Saturday of each month at 9:30 am. Everyone is welcome. Please submit agenda items to the Chair two weeks in advance. Each January, parishioners may volunteer for election to the Council. Council members serve for three years, and candidates must be active, registered, confirmed parishioners of St. Francis, 18 years or older.
