ADULT FAITH FORMATION
Adult Faith Formation exists to enlighten adults in our parish in their Catholic faith. We pray that they will be touched and transformed by the life-giving message of Jesus Christ. We participate in the evangelizing mission of the Catholic Church by developing, instructing, supporting, and fulfilling the catechetical and spiritual formation of the Catholic faith for adults.
Our goal is to empower, enrich and enlighten our Catholic adults to know and live the message of Jesus Christ through experience, reflection, prayer and study. This includes evangelization, education, spiritual formation, and social action/interaction in the Catholic faith.
The heart of adult enrichment is summed up in a quote from St. Augustine:
"I believe, in order to better understand; and I understand, the better to believe."

The Adult Faith Formation ministry of St. Francis Parish strives to:
- Develop formation and information on the Catholic faith for adults and create a plan for sharing this information with adults in the parish.
- Support and host events/programs in and outside of the parish dedicated to enriching the faith journey of Catholic adults.
- Develop formation and provide information of Franciscan spirituality, especially in raising a responsive awareness for the care of the earth and for caring for the poor.
- Explore new opportunities and provide programs for faith enrichment to meet the spiritual needs of our Catholic adults.
- Research materials, books, and speakers to spiritually inspire and edify Catholic adults in their faith.
- Sponsor retreats, days of reflection, guest speakers, and times of prayer in order to fulfill the spiritual needs of our Catholic adults.
- Publish, promote, and announce upcoming events sponsored by Adult Enrichment within the parish and Diocese of Arlington
