Our Parish Annual Labor Day Picnic

Monday, September 1st, 2008
Lunga Resevoir Recreational Area Quantico Marine Base
(Pass the FBI Academy; ID required)

Come join the festivities at this is a Saint Francis tradition. Full of fun for all! Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Drinks provided. Bring a dish to share; your lawn chairs and/or a blanket.

Directions to the St. Francis Parish Picnic on 9/2/08
1. Take I-95 to Exit 150 (Russell Road)
2. Make a Right Turn on to Russell Road (West)
3. Continue on Russell Road until you encounter the Post Guard House
4. Show proper Identification and proceed straight on to Camp Barrett Rd.
5. Follow Signs on Camp Barrett Rd. to Lunga Lake/ Reservoir
6. Camp Barrett Road will make a sharp turn to the left just as you approach the Lunga Recreation Park (Large Sign on the Right)
7. At the Recreation Park Sign, turn Right and follow the St. Francis Parish Picnic signs.
8. The St. Francis Parish Picnic area is just past the Lunga Lake Administration Building and First Picnic Area) about 1000 Ft on the Left.


Christian Yoga at Saint Francis

Tuesdays: 5:30-7:00 pm and 7:15-8:45 pm

Had a hectic summer? Looking for a way to get some calm and order back into your life? Then, Christian Yoga may be just the thing you need! Come and join a few Saint Francis friends for a six-week Chrst-centered experience of Hatha yoga.

Our Parish Retreat

October 31-November 2, 2008
in Canaan Valley, WV.

Registrations for the Parish Retreat will begin the weekend of March 30th. It will be a weekend to retreat away from the hustle and bustle of schedules and the daily grind. It will be an opportunity to experience the grace of God in the quiet moments, the nature and the mountains of W VA and to also experience the presence of God in each other. Early bird discount registration will run through June 1st. Payment plans will be available and we have included cabins and cottages for cost effective lodging, along with the regular hotel/lodge rooms. Cabins and Cottages will only be available for reservation through April 15th.
