Anointing of the Sick
We encourage the Anointing of the Sick for anyone who, because of advanced age or serious illness, may benefit spiritually, physically, or mentally from it. Parishioners should contact a priest at the parish office 703.221.4044 during business hours if they desire to receive this Sacrament. Those experiencing an emergency after office hours may call 703.352.5357.

Baptismal Preparation for Infants
Contact: Parish Office (703.221.4044)
Informing prospective or new parents about their parental responsibility toward the Sacrament of Baptism and their Sacrament of Marriage, Baptismal preparation orients parishioners to the meaning and purpose of Baptism while developing the family's faith. We require Baptismal preparation of all parents prior to the celebration. Trained volunteers assist by giving talks on the symbols of Baptism and reviewing with parents the rubric we use during the liturgy. Call the parish office to register for classes 703.221.4044.

Marriage Preparation
Contact: Mary Kay and Steve Jones (540.720.1331)
Marriage celebrates the love of a couple who enter into a covenant with God and one another. Couples planning to be married within a year's time should make arrangements with the parish office at least six months before the intended wedding. We cannot schedule a wedding date on the parish calendar until the couple has met with one of our priests. Call the parish office for more information and to make an appointment at 703.221.4044.
Married couples in the parish volunteer to assist with our Marriage Preparation Team by giving talks and sharing their experiences of married life. Our pre-marriage program provides an opportunity for couples to sharpen their skills in communication, organizing finances, planning family life, and understand the Church's teaching about Marriage as Sacrament.

Reconciliation
Responding to the reality of sin in the lives of individuals and in our community, the Sacrament of Reconciliation allows the healing grace of Jesus Christ to enter into our hearts. Priests are available on Saturdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm and by appointment. We also schedule Communal Reconciliation Services during Advent and Lent.

Sacramental Preparation for Older Children
Contact: Sharon Slavinski (703.221.4978)
Children enrolled in 3rd-6th grades, who were baptized Catholic as infants and who seek to celebrate the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and Eucharist, participate in a program designed to meet their needs. Additionally, the Christian Initiation of Children is a process for children who have either: 1) never been baptized, or 2) have been baptized but were not educated in the Catholic Tradition, who in both cases desire to be in full communion in the Catholic faith through the reception of the sacraments of Initiation--Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. Their preparation involves growing in their relationship with God, learning about the Catholic teachings and practices and becoming active participants in the life of our Catholic faith community. This process involves the entire family.
